Rashad + Carmen | Kyle House Wedding | Fincastle, Virginia

I have said it once and I will say it again - I am beyond grateful and humbled that my job allows me to cross paths with some of the most beautiful, genuine people and that I have the great privilege of photographing such special moments for my clients. Rashad and Carmen were easy-going, joyful, and crazy about each other (check out their engagement session here!) They chose the Kyle House for their winter wedding and it easily has some of my favorite spaces to photograph in, especially the second level with it’s beautiful bridal suite and dinner area - not to mention the exquisite food provided by their in-house catering service. It’s the perfect venue if you are looking for a more intimate wedding!

Carmen wore Vera Wang accompanied by a white fur wrap and her groom looked so classy in his gray tux and black bow tie. The florals were on point with touches of thistle and evergreen to accent the white roses and lilies - so perfect for winter. (Rashad also had flowers delivered to the bridal suite for Carmen while she was getting ready - I mean, c’mon!!) Because it was a winter wedding and they chose not to do a first look, we did all of their portraits after dark which means I got to be really creative! We used the beautiful candle-lit ceremony space with it’s gorgeous chandeliers for the family and bridal party photos then spent time in the romantic courtyard for their bride and groom portraits. They are some of my absolute favorites so be sure you make it to the end of this post for those!! The night ended with lots of dancing, cupcakes and a sparkler exit - you just can’t go wrong that way. Congratulations to Rashad and Carmen and thank you SO much for the opportunity to capture your day!!
